I bridge the gap between management and communications.  I have been helping organizations develop compelling communications that help them achieve their business objectives for more than 30 years. Unlike many communicators, I think in terms of business goals first and how best to achieve them. Communications is a tool I use to achieve business goals. Frequently my recommendations go well beyond communications, and I will tell you if communications isn’t the right tool.

With an MBA in marketing and management policy from Kellogg and 30 years in public relations, primarily in senior account-planning and insight positions, I have brought targeted strategies and results to organizations throughout the United States. I understand the disciplines of business strategy and marketing and I apply them before thinking about communications.

I started as a writer specializing in business, technical and scientific topics and have continued writing through my career. I have been writing a Blog on reputation, research, relationships and messages since March, 2008. I have written articles and other materials for clients including Cambridge Consulting Group, Vormetric, Clark Equipment Company, Dow Corning, Nastec Corporation, Oak Communications, Nutrasweet, Gas Technology Institute and Sun Microsystems.
